Izzy Burns (Oct 9, 2002) is an American folk pop singer from Moscow, Idaho, who sings because she once couldn’t. Despite facing significant medical challenges early in life, including an emergency tracheostomy surgery that initially left her without a voice as a child for the first two years of her life, Izzy has defied the odds to become a talented musician and singer. After multiple surgeries and years of therapy, she was able to not just speak, but sing and Izzy began to immerse herself in singing, playing guitar, and writing songs. Her debut project, You Can’t Stop Me Now, released in 2019, and her follow-up project, A Heartbeat of Your Time, showcase her remarkable journey and musical versatility. Her career took a pivotal turn when she sat on a plane next to Mellad Abeid, a guitar professor at Gonzaga University, who helped refine her songwriting and production skills. Izzy’s story of overcoming early life adversity to become a celebrated artist is a testament to her strength and dedication. Her music, available on major streaming platforms, and reflects her deep passion and resilience.

Ali Tod, Saturday, May 30th, 1:30pm-3:30pm, FREE

Scottish guitarist and singer Ali Tod blends modern percussive fingerstyle guitar techniques with classical training and loop-pedal mastery, to create a live acoustic experience that gets hands clapping, hips shaking and feet stomping. If Rodrigo y Gabriela and KT Tunstall combined to make a one-woman show, it would be Ali Tod. Growing up in Edinburgh, Scotland, Ali was the founder of the Edinburgh Guitar Night, a series of live concerts in Scotland’s capital city, showcasing some of the best guitarists from around the world. Ali has performed with her idols, GRAMMY award-winning musicians Rodrigo y Gabriela, after the Mexican guitar duo discovered her covers of their songs on social media. She since went on to perform alongside Gabriela at the winter NAMM 2020 event and performed with world-renowned bass player Nathan East, GRAMMY award winning musician Daniel Ho and thrash-metal legend and Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick. Ali has also played alongside Gabriela at several benefit concerts in Mexico. She has performed alongside GRAMMY award winner Brandi Carlile numerous times, singing with the Americana star at her female-led music festival Girls Just Wanna Weekend in Cancun, Mexico. She proved to be such a hit with fans, that they petitioned to have her play an official set. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ali also performed original compositions in several of Carlile's livestreamed concerts. In January 2020, Ali performed as part of the Women of Fingerstyle Guitar event run by Fretmonkey Records, alongside legendary female guitarists such as Kaki King, Vicki Genfan, Muriel Anderson and Christie Lenée. In October 2021, Ali supported world-renowned fingerstyle guitarist and winner of 'World's Best Acoustic Guitarist 2020' Jon Gomm on the Scottish date of his UK tour. Sarah Adams is a sapphic folk americana rock artist originally from South Carolina, now based in Los Angeles, California. Influenced by musicians such as Brandi Carlile, Eva Cassidy, and Sara Bareilles, Adams’ music cracks you right open. Her warmth and tenacity on stage will captivate you, and her lyrics will linger with you long after you see her perform. Sarah commands a stage whether she’s playing solo with her acoustic guitar, duo with her hand percussionist, or full band. No matter the format, Sarah’s live performance flows from high energy folk rock to poignant americana ballads, all weaved together through Sarah’s expert storytelling sharpened by her background in live theater. She wants to let people into her world, authentically telling her story in the hopes of freeing others to do the same. Sarah’s songwriting delves into everything she encounters: from the magic of the kids she nannies, to the perils of making art in a capitalist world; from the excitement of freely living out her sexuality, to the releasing of the trap of perfectionism, Adams explores honestly. She has the unique ability to sit with paradox and channel the intensity of complex emotions through word, melody, and a wicked sense of humor. You’ll laugh, you’ll likely cry, and you’ll definitely leave a Sarah Adams show with a newfound connection to yourself and the people around you. Sarah is honored and grateful to have worked with Kenny McWilliams at Archer Avenue Studio to create her first album entitled Release.

Gorge Concert Parking at Cave B

During the day while you are wine tasting it is always free to park at Cave B. However, due to safety concerns and necessity once the tasting room closes, we do tow cars that are left behind on Gorge concert days. The way to avoid being towed after 6:30pm is to pre-purchase a Cave B parking pass for our Lot C (think “C” for concerts). This entitles you to one parking space in our Lot C that you may keep your car in overnight (but no camping) or it can allow for a quick exit after the Gorge concert. Many times parking in our Lot C gets you home about 45 minutes earlier than parking in the Gorge lot. You have in & out privileges 24 hrs a day. The cost is $37 per car if you pre-purchase your parking pass before the day of the Gorge concert. You can do so by booking it online at www.caveb.com, then the purchase tab to get to the online store, then the events/parking tab. At checkout, please write in the date(s) you want to park and what concert you are going to. If you still need a parking spot day of, they will be on sale in our Quincy tasting room and cost $40 day of per car. Day of park in our Lot C. Walk 2 minutes to our tasting room in the big, round building. If the upstairs is open get your pass there. If it is closed then get your pass in our downstairs tasting room. If you are going to arrive after 6:30pm please call the tasting room at (509) 785-3500, ext.0 so we can make arrangements for where you can pick it up after hours. Enjoy wine tasting and music, charcuterie and snacks. When you are ready to go to the Gorge place your parking pass in your rearview mirror facing out. Walk directly across the driveway to the sign that says “Gate 2”, which is to the right of the yurts. Walk down the path there and onto the Gorge parking lot. Take a left at the end of the Gorge “Oasis white tent camping and walk 7 minutes to the Gorge ticket/security entrance.

Click on the poster above to book your parking in our Lot C.

A little history: The start of the Gorge Amphitheatre

A little history: The start of the Gorge Amphitheatre

Back in the 80’s our family started the Gorge Amphitheatre. We had purchased barren land of sage brush, dirt & basalt to grow wine grapes in 1979. Where the Gorge is now was our family picnic spot and we had noted the natural acoustics there one evening when some of us ran down the hill and others stayed on top but could hear us clearly. For the grand opening of our first winery in the early 80’s we wanted guests to walk the 1/4 mile from our first winery building to see the beautiful views of the Columbia river and the sunset over the  hills. What better way to enhance our wine then to pair it with music. So my Dad and brother built a wooden stage & terraced the hillside. We all laid sod and flowers and booked a band. Folks loved it and we kept it going for several years, expanding every year and hiring people to help us as needed. It was originally called the Champs de Brionne Summer Music Theatre and the name changed to the Gorge Amphitheatre along the way. After 7 years of building it up to 20,000 people capacity, first building the original stage and later bringing in a new larger, professional stage, starting overnight camping, and making it known to the world, we sold it to MCA. MCA eventually sold it to House of Blues, who eventually sold it to Clear Channel, which led into the Live Nation ownership. Today Live Nation is the owner and they are our neighbor.

It is an easy to walk from the Gorge parking lots or Gorge camping areas to wine taste with us. Simply head west to the Gorge Oasis White Tents. Go left (south) until you see our path, called Gate 2 onto the Cave B property. Once through the gate take a right and head to the large basalt, round building which is our tasting room. On Gorge concert days we do NOT take tasting reservations as we set everything up differently to accommodate more people.

Most often our wine tastings on concert days take place on our front lawn. Depending on the concert size either both our upstairs & downstairs tasting rooms are open for glass pours, bottle sales and snacks, and sometimes it is just the downstairs tasting room so concert goers can enjoy our huge lawns more easily. We often have live music on our Stage B Amphitheatre, located in front of our Quincy tasting room, that pair nicely with the bands at the Gorge. Many Gorge concert goers “pre-party” at Cave B with wine tasting, music and relaxing on our beautiful lawns. Music on our stage is always free to listen to, although we do ask you to purchase a bottle of Cave B wine if you are not wine tasting to support the winery and musicians. Wine tasting on concert days costs $20 per person, this covers the 4 tastings (2 white wines & 2 red wines) and helps us keep the concerts free. Please note on concert days we use our EVENT GLASSES. Event glasses cannot be taken home. Please leave your dirty glass on the marked dirty glass tables on the front lawn by both entries. Thank you for your help with this.

Wine & Music has always been an important part of our family history and we look so forward to sharing both of these with you.
